Molecular weight
Recombinant NCOV S1 encodes the NCOV spike glycoprotein S1 sequence . This molecule has a calculated mass of approximately 76kDa. Recombinant S1 migrates due to glycosylation as an approximately 120 kDa protein under reducing conditions in SDS-PAGE.
Activity
The activity was tested by binding Human ACE2-Fc in functional ELISA assay, the calculated EC50 was determined to be 0.1ug/ml.
Purity
>95%, as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC
Endotoxin
Endotoxin content was assayed using a LAL gel clot method. Endotoxin level was found to be less than 0.1 ng/µg(1EU/µg).
Presentation
Recombinant COVID-19 Spike S1 was lyophilized from 0.2 µm filtered PBS solution pH7.4
Reconstitution
A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers.
Storage
The lyophilized protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20° C.
