Molecular weight
Recombinant EBV EA encodes the C terminal immunodominant sequence (306-390) of the Epstein-Barr Virus Early Antigen protein D BMRF1. Recombinant EBV EA contains an N terminal GST purification tag and migrates as an approximately 36 kDa protein under non-reducing conditions conditions in SDS-PAGE.

Applications
Recombinant human EBV EA antigen is suitable for ELISA and Western blots, excellent antigen for detection of EBV with minimal specificity problems.

50mM Tris-HCl pH 8, 10mM glutathione, 60mM NaCl and 50% Glycerol.
Storage
This protein can be stored in working aliquots at 2° - 8° C for one month, or at -20° C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
