Recombinant Protein G, is a monomer protein consisting of 196 (Lys190-Ala384) amino acid residue subunits. The molecule has a calculated molecular mass of approximately 22 kDa.
Recombinant Protein G migrates as an approximately 22 kDa protein under non-reducing and reducing conditions in SDS-PAGE.

|
| Purity: |
| >95%, as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC |
|
| Specificity: |
| Binds with high affinity mammalian IgGs,including human IgG3 and rat IgG2a, does not bind Human IgM, IgD and IgA. |
|
| |
| Presentation: |
| Recombinant Protein G was lyophilized with no additives from a 0.2 μm filtered solution. |
|
| Reconstitution: |
| A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers. |
|
| Storage: |
The lyophilized protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20° C.
Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2° - 8° C for one month, or at -20° C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity.
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. |

protein g |
Protein G is a 40-60 kDa
MSCRAMM surface protein
originally found in the cell
wall of the bacteria
Staphylococcus aureus.It
binds with high affinity to
human IgG1 and IgG2 as well
as mouse IgG2a and IgG2b.
Protein A binds with
moderate affinity to human
IgM, IgA and IgE as well as
to mouse IgG3 and IgG1. It
does not react with human
IgG3 or IgD, nor will it
react to mouse IgM, IgA or
IgE.
