Immunohistochemical analysis of FFPE rat small intestines tissue showing localization of CD8 .

Cat# RPA01732 was used as primary antibody, dilution 1:200.

Polyclonal CD8 antibody was produced from sera of rabbits  immunized with synthetic protein containing CD8A antigenic determinants.
Species reactivity:

Serum IgG fraction was purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.

Lyophilized from sterile filtered PBS solution at a concentration of 1mg/ml.
A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers
The lyophilized antibody is stable for at least 1 year  from date of receipt at -20° C.
Upon reconstitution, this antibody can be stored in working aliquots at 2° - 8° C for one month, or at -20° C for six months without detectable loss of activity.

Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

The cell surface glycoprotein CD8 plays an important role in the development and function of MHC3 class I-restricted T cells. CD8 fulfils its function through interacting via its extracellular domain with MHC class I proteins and via its intracellular domain with the tyrosine kinase Lck (1, 2). An interaction of both the T cell receptor (TCR) and CD8 with MHC proteins enhances the adhesion between the T cell and the antigen- presenting cell. The coreceptor CD8 is expressed as a CD8ab heterodimer on major histocompatibility complex class I-restricted TCRab T cells, and as a CD8aa homodimer on subsets of memory T cells, intraepithelial lymphocytes, natural killer cells, and dendritic cells.
