Source:
DNA sequence encoding extracellular domain of Human LYN  to a N-terminal GST tag was expressed in Insect cells.

 
Molecular weight:

Recombinant Human LYN  is a monomer consisting of 736 amino acid residue , and migrates as an approximately 75 kDa protein under reducing conditions in SDS-PAGE.

 
Purity:
>95%, as determined by SDS-PAGE

 
Biological Activity:
The activity was determined using a Glu/Tyr peptide substrate in a fluorogenic assay , and was determined to be 100nM/min/mg.

Endotoxin:
Endotoxin content was assayed using a LAL gel clot method.
Endotoxin level was found to be less than 0.1 ng/µg(1EU/µg).

 
Presentation:
Recombinant Human LYN  was lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered 20mM Tris,50mM NaCl,  pH 8.0, 0.5mM PMSF.

 
Reconstitution:
A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers.

 
Storage:
The lyophilized protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20° C.
Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2° - 8° C for one month, or at -20° C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity.

Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

LYN

Lyn, a member of Src-family tyrosine kinases, is widely expressed in a variety of organs, tissues and cell types, including epithelial, hematopoietic and neuronal cells, and has an important role in signal transduction at the cytoplasmic face of the plasma membrane. The Lyn kinase domain is also required for targeting of Lyn to caveolin-positive Golgi membranes, which suggests that this domain has a crucial role in Lyn trafficking in addition to its role in catalysis of substrate tyrosine phosphorylation.
