Immunohistochemical analysis of CD31-positive microvessels in FFPE Human malignant melanoma cell line, A375.

Cat#RPA16284 was used as primary antibody, dilution 1:200, DAB chromogen substrate.

Immunohistochemical analysis of mouse CD31 expression in FFPE vascular endothelial melanoma cell.

Cat#RPA16284 was used as primary antibody,  dilution 1:200, DAB chromogen substrate..

PolyclonalCD31 antibody was produced from sera of rabbits  immunized with synthetic protein containing CD31 antigenic determinants.
Species reactivity:

Serum IgG fraction was purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.

Lyophilized from sterile filtered PBS solution at a concentration of 1mg/ml.
A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers
The lyophilized antibody is stable for at least 1 year  from date of receipt at -20° C.
Upon reconstitution, this antibody can be stored in working aliquots at 2° - 8° C for one month, or at -20° C for six months without detectable loss of activity.

Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule (PECAM-1, CD31) is a 130 kD glycoprotein that is constitutively expressed by endothelial cells and by platelets, neutrophils, monocytes, and some T- lymphocytes. It is an integral transmembrane protein that belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily and that mediates both homotypic and heterotypic cell adhesion. These functions have implicated CD31 in a variety of important biological processes including inflammation, angiogenesis and wound healing. In particular, CD31 has an important role in neutrophil and monocyte emigration across vascular endothelium, processes that can be inhibited, both in vitro and in vivo, with anti-CD31 antibodies.
